We envision a Nepal where every young person is empowered to lead and shape social progress.

Mission

Equipping youth with training, mentorship and resources to lead social initiatives.

Approach

Aakar works to generate interest and confidence among youths to design and implement solutions to problems in their community and equip them with the tools and resources to do so.

Aakar is a 3-month program - Impact Leaders Fellowship - that guides youth to create and execute a project of their choice dedicated to creating social impact. Beneficiaries are selected based on their application and availability of mentors in their areas of interest. Each participant is assigned specific mentors who are already in the professional world to help them throughout the duration of the project. They will also benefit from additional programs such as career advising and guest lectures. The program kickstarted with the Pestalozzi Development Fund in 2022.
